Antonio Conte returns to Serie A with Napoli‘s away game at Verona and could pick Giovanni Simeone to replace Victor Osimhen.

It kicks off at 18:30 CET (16:30 GMT) at the Stadio Bentegodi in Verona.

Conte said on the eve of the game that he expected a ‘different situation’ at the Stadio Maradona and expressed his discontent regarding Victor Osimhen’s transfer situation.

The Nigeria international wants to leave and hasn’t been involved in any pre-season match.

Italy international Giacomo Raspadori replaced Osimhen in a Coppa Italia match against Modena last week, but according to Corriere dello Sport, Simeone will start in attack against Verona today.

Osimhen won’t even be on the bench against Verona, and the same is true for Michael Folorunsho, Mario Rui, and Gianluca Gaetano.

Alessandro Buongiorno is not fully fit due to a slight ankle injury, so Juan Jesus is favourite over Mathias Olivera to replace the Italian. Juan Manuel Cruz is not available for Verona.
