Hellas Verona are close to finalising a loan deal for Milan talent Daniel Maldini, giving him a chance to continue his development in Serie A.

The 20-year-old Italian forward, who is the third generation of the Maldini family to represent the Rossoneri, only made 13 first team appearances last season under Stefano Pioli, playing 239 minutes of action in total. He scored one goal in that time, but it’s clear that a move is needed if he wants regular minutes in the topflight.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Hellas Verona have been in talks with Milan regarding a loan move for Maldini and they’re close to finalising a deal. Things are expected to be completed next week, allowing the 20-year-old to start his new adventure in Veneto.

The 20-year-old Maldini is contracted to Milan until 2024 but it’s incredibly hard to imagine his contract being too much of an issue in the Lombardy capital, considering the family history.
