Hellas Verona have confirmed the appointment of Gabriele Cioffi as their new head coach and according to Sky Sport Italia, they have completed the permanent signing of Giovanni Simeone, who has been targeted by Lazio.
Cioffi left Udinese at the end of 2021-22 and has now replaced Igor Tudor at the Stadio Bentegodi. The former Juventus defender had collected 53 points in 2021-22, but left the club by mutual agreement in May.
Verona have now confirmed the appointment of Cioffi, revealing that the ex-defender has signed a contract until June 2024.

Thereβs more news coming from Verona, as according to Sky Sport Italia, the Gialloblu have signed Giovanni Simeone permanently.
The Argentinean striker had moved to the Stadio Bentegodi on loan from Cagliari last summer and scored 17 goals in 36 Serie A appearances last term. According to the report, Simeone has joined Verona permanently for circa β¬10m.
Arsenal, Juventus and Lazio have targeted the former Fiorentina and Cagliari man and according to Sky Sport, the Biancocelesti have already opened talks with the Gialloblu, given that Maurizio Sarri is looking for a back-up for Ciro Immobile.
