Carlo Ancelotti’s team ended the Trentino leg of their pre-season preparations with a routine victory over the Flying Donkeys.

There was a slight concern for the Parteneopei after Lorenzo Insigne had to be substituted in the first half after sustaining a knock. However, it now appears to have been nothing more than a precautionary measure.

There was a slight concern for the Parteneopei after Lorenzo Insigne had to be substituted in the first half after sustaining a knock. However, it now appears to have been nothing more than a precautionary measure.

“I am pleased. We have improved in the defensive area,” Ancelotti commented post-match.

“We were slower in terms of our building of the play but that can happen at this time of the season.”

Napoli now leave their Trentino training camp having secured three wins out of three against Gozzano, Carpi and Chievo.

Ancelotti and his players will now have a couple of days off before heading to Dublin for a friendly with Liverpool this weekend.
