There are more injury problems at Torino, as Simone Verdi has been ruled out with a femoral bicep strain.

The Granata had so many fitness concerns already this season that their chief medic resigned this week, following a series of rows with new coach Ivan Juric.

He will be further irritated by news that Verdi is the latest absentee, as he has been diagnosed with a Grade I tear of the femoral bicep in his left leg.

It is expected to rule Verdi out of action for circa three weeks.

This means the trequartista misses out on the Serie A clash against his old club and current leaders Napoli.

The hope is that Verdi can return in time to play Milan on October 26, or the next fixture against Sampdoria.

Toro have some good news, as Simone Zaza retuned to training yesterday, while Andrea Belotti is hoping to be back after the break for international duty following a sprained ankle.
