Giampiero Ventura said Torino’s problem was psychological as they threw away a 2-0 lead to lose 3-2 at Genoa.
Ciro Immobile’s brace had given them a comfortable advantage at Marassi in the opening 15 minutes.
“That 2-0 lead was not a fluke, as we played great football and prepared this game very well,” the Coach told Mediaset Premium.
“Then, instead of kicking the ball clear, we gave away a penalty. At that point we just stopped playing, that is our problem.

“We have a squad with a lot of potential that can become excellent, but this year we’ve been giving away points and entire games.
“Perhaps the team needs a little more character. We had silenced Marassi and now the work is not only for this season, but also the next.”
It was a reunion for ex-Toro goal twins Alessio Cerci and Immobile, who bagged a brace each this afternoon. Can they break back into the Italy squad for Euro 2016?
“They have to earn it with their performances in Serie A,” noted Ventura. “They both did well today and I’m happy for Alessio. I won’t say hello to him after these two goals, though!”
