Torino Coach Giampiero Ventura is impressed with Sampdoria strike force, but insists the Granata “are on the right track” to get a result today.
The Granata welcome the Blucerchiati at 17.00 GMT, click here for a match preview.
“Experience teaches us you are not certain of a result against anyone,” warned Ventura. “Sampdoria are in great shape and scored six goals past Pescara last week.
“Are they distracted or complacent after that result? I doubt it, as these are the usual clichés. After a complicated period, Samp are back to putting in impressive performances and good results. The real test will be how we can read the game and face it the right way.
“We are on the right track, growing in confidence and belief. I am proud of this squad. The big achievement against Inter last week was not getting a draw, but going out there to fight for more than a point.”
Ventura can still count on Rolando Bianchi, who is out of contract in June, but failed to find a new club in January.
“I am happy that Bianchi stayed, as we are talking about our captain, a player who scores when he gets a half-chance. He is a professional, but these transfer market situations were not easy on him.”
