“Roma did not deserve to beat Torino,” said Granata Coach Ventura on Mediaset Premium.

“That goal would’ve killed off any other team, but Toro are alive and kicking. Was it a penalty? I don’t care, the fact remains the draw was fully deserved.

“Roma didn’t have their first shot on target until the 89th minute with Edin Dzeko, so to lose this game would’ve been shocking. Pjanic’s goal was a cross, not a shot.

“We wasted a myriad of scoring opportunities against a great side like Roma. Once again we fought back to recover points and I think we played as a team for the entire match, particularly with our hearts in the final five minutes.

“I don’t care if it was a soft penalty, we’ve had many clear spot-kicks denied against us. We played very well in the game and allowed Roma nothing. It’s a real regret we had acres of space to run into on the counter and didn’t make the most of those opportunities.”
