“Against Milan we have nothing to lose,” Ventura explained in his pre-match Press conference.
“Maybe they’ll be worried about the game, in terms of their objectives. I’d like to see my team play with a brazen attitude, a bit like the one we saw at San Mames when we knocked out Bilbao.
“If Torino are calm we can beat anyone, even the big teams. We need to rediscover a bit of lightheartedness.
“The goal is to get back to Europe, without uttering out-of-reach words like ‘Scudetto’. Which teams fight for Europe? They’re those who buy great players or those who want to grow.
“Growth means that if you can’t sign Eder who is 29-years-old and costs €14m then you have to bring through your own players or sign youngsters.
“It’s clear that ours aren’t ready yet, but they’ll entertain the fans and make money for [President Urbano] Cairo.
“In reality all the players we have available can give more, just look at [Bruno] Peres. A year ago he was lost after scoring a great goal against Juve, now he could be playing for a big club.
“[Ciro] Immobile is back, stronger than when he went away and [Andrea] Belotti will become a great player, you can trust me on that.”
