“We’ll encounter a Roma side that will be angry, so this is going to be a stimulating challenge,” said Ventura in his Press conference.

“We’ll encounter a Roma side that will be angry, so this is going to be a stimulating challenge,” said Ventura in his Press conference.
“Our problem is not Roma, though, it’s us. We need the right attitude, but we are also in an emergency situation because of injuries. I had to call up two youth team players.”
The build-up to the match has been dominated by reports of a huge bust-up between Francesco Totti and Spalletti after the 3-3 draw with Atalanta.
“I admire Totti as an icon of football, one of the greatest in the sport, but I am very fond of Spalletti. He was my player at Entella and Spezia, while I was the one who pushed him on to start a career as a Coach.
“I just want him to train the way he knows how and for Francesco to end his career, when his physique and head say to do so, as a great champion.”
Ventura was asked about his future and what he will do for the rest of this season.
“When planning ahead you must realise that in two or three years, for example, Emiliano Moretti won’t be able to play every game.
“I also believe in that time the youngsters that we’re testing now can become the core of the team. This is a group of players that will be remembered in a few years for what they’ve achieved.”
Pontus Jansson returns, but Marco Benassi is added to the injury list with Afriyie Acquah, Maxi Lopez, Ciro Immobile and Danilo Avelar.
Ventura has therefore called up youth team players Leonardo Candellone and Simone Edera.
