Sergio Romero could make his debut for Venezia against Fiorentina, who are without goalkeeper Bartlomiej Dragowski.

The eighth round of fixtures in Serie A concludes with the Viola’s trip to Venice on Monday night, when Paolo Zanetti is chasing his first win at home this term.

Fiorentina, on the other hand, are aiming to bounce back from the defeat to Napoli ahead of the international break.

But Zanetti has many doubts before the match, while Romero could start his first game in the place of Niki Maenpaa.

Mattia Caldara should be back in the heart of the defence and Ethan Ampadu seems set to continue in the middle of the park.

Fiorentina are without injured Dragowski and must rely on Pietro Terracciano in goal on Monday night, while Igor should play with Nikola Milenkovic at the back.

Sofyan Amrabat and Lucas Torreira are fighting to start in midfield, while Riccardo Sottil and Nico Gonzalez are battling for a place in attack with Jose Callejon and Dusan Vlahovic.

Probable line-ups: Venezia vs. Fiorentina

Venezia (4-3-3): Romero; Mazzocchi, Caldara, Ceccaroni, Molinaro; Ampadu, Vacca, Busio; Aramu, Henry, Johnsen

Fiorentina (4-3-3): Terracciano; Odriozola, Milenkovic, Igor, Biraghi; Bonaventura, Amrabat, Duncan; Callejon, Vlahovic, Gonzalez
