Former Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero will carry out the medical with Venezia today and is expected to sign with the newly promoted side on Tuesday.

The former Sampdoria goalkeeper was released by Manchester United in July and will arrive at the Arancioneroverde as a free agent.

The 34-year-old is a former Argentina international, capped 96 times by the Albiceleste, and has played for Monaco and United since leaving Sampdoria in August 2013.
