According to multiple sources, Venezia have after careful consideration decided not to proceed with signing Wissam Ben Yedder.
The transfer window is closed, but clubs are still allowed to bring in free agents beyond the deadline.
Having sold Joel Pohjanpalo to Palermo, there were strong reports that Venezia were ready to appease angry fans by securing a famous name as his replacement.
Ben Yedder had met with club directors and was even spotted in the stands during their most recent Serie A home match against Roma.
Venezia drop Ben Yedder interest

However, Tuttomercatoweb, Sky Sport Italia and others are all claiming this evening that Venezia decided not to proceed with registering the 34-year-old.
Instead, Venezia have over the last few days signed Condinho Dos Santos Ntemo from Royal Union Saint-Gilloise.
Ben Yedder has been a free agent since leaving AS Monaco in July 2024, a decision partly caused by him receiving a suspended sentence of two years for sexual assault and getting treatment for alcohol misuse, on top of allegations from his ex-wife.
