Venezia coach Paolo Zanetti has been handed a one-match touchline ban for using blasphemous phrases, while Victor Osimhen is among the players suspended in Serie A.
The league is on a break for international duty, so these bans will be imposed when the tournament resumes.
The sanction against Zanetti was expected, as these offensive phrases were clearly heard and caught on camera when he was screaming at Venezia player Thomas Henry following a red card against Sampdoria.
Henry had already been warned repeatedly he would get a second yellow card if continued his dissent and it eventually happened, infuriating Zanetti.
This means coach Zanetti must sit in the stands for the next Serie A match.
Cagliari assistant manager Claudio Nitti was banned for two matches after insulting the officials.
Napoli were fined €5,000 for one of their directors insulting the referee, while Atalanta were fines €2,000 for objects thrown onto the pitch and Roma fined €2,000 for delaying the second half of the derby.
Osimhen has accumulated enough yellow cards to spark a ban, so he will miss Napoli’s big game against Atalanta.
The following players are suspended for one match in Serie A: Thomas Henry, Pablo Mari, Leo Ostigard, Luca Pellegrini, Victor Osimhen, Fabiano Parisi, Tommaso Pobega, Pedro and Amir Rrahmani.
