Newly-promoted Serie A side Venezia continue to invest in MLS talent, with Tanner Tessman close from FC Dallas and Sporting KC’s Gianluca Busio in talks.

According to ESPN reporter Jeff Carlisle, 19-year-old midfielder Tessmann is on his way towards Italy for the medical and to complete the details of the transfer.

It is expected to cost in the region of €3.5m and Tessmann had recently been training with Bayern Munich, but made seven MLS appearances this season.

He is not the only player potentially making the move from Major League Soccer to the Lagunari.

According to MLS expert Tom Bogert, Venezia are leading the race for Sporting KC attacking midfielder Busio.

Also linked with Sassuolo and Atalanta, while Fiorentina had made an attempt in January, the 19-year-old would appear to be edging closer to Venezia.

This deal would be worth circa €7.5m plus a percentage of the sell-on fee going to SKC.
