Venezia have announced a member of their matchday squad has tested positive for COVID-19, so their team presentation has been cancelled.
The newly-promoted side had been due to play a friendly and present the players of both the men’s and women’s teams for the 2021-22 season to their fans on Thursday in Jesolo.
However, after a member of the matchday squad tested positive for COVID-19 today, the individual has been placed in quarantine.
As a precaution, the event scheduled for Thursday has been cancelled.
It is not clear whether the person who tested positive is a player or a member of staff.
