His domestic side Sevilla take on Juventus in the Champions League on Tuesday night, and after having urged Paulo Dybala to join him at Jorge Sampaoli''s side, his thoughts returned to the game.

What impact does Vazquez think the loss of defender Andrea Barzagli will have on the Bianconeri?

"Andrea is one of the strongest defenders in Italy, but the others aren’t exactly poor," the Argentina-born player told Tuttosport. "They are very tough to play against.

"During the next two days we will prepare well for the game with the goal of identifying the spaces, because when play against Juve it is difficult to find them.

"Sampaoli asked us what we think about how we can hurt Juve. It is true that not all games are equal, but it sure helped us to understand more."

"An international call-up? I will still hope, even if I find it hard to see why they have not called me so far in spite of the good player that I have proven to be.

"But I am always ready. I have not spoken with either [Giampiero] Ventura or with [Edgardo] Bauza. When the opportunity is presented i will think about it.

"To play with [Paulo] Dybala and [Lionel] Messi? It would be nice, yes. But also in Italy there are strong players and when i was called I was able to give a good account of myself. It was beautiful.

"Higuain? Gonzalo always gives 100%. I do not understand the people that boo, even if it is true that the Argentines are like that.

"He, however has to feel comfortable. I wish for him to return soon to scoring goals with the national team."
