Despite making two appearances for Italy, Franco Vazquez has now decided to represent Argentina. “Thank God I have this chance.”
The 29-year-old was born and raised in Argentina, but his mother is Italian and he spent much of his playing career in the Peninsula with Palermo.
Now at Sevilla, he has received his first senior call-up for Argentina.
“I spoke to (caretaker manager Lionel) Scaloni, who told me there was the possibility of getting called up,” ‘El Mudo’ Vazquez told TyC Sports.
