Lazio are among the clubs linked with bringing the 31-year-old back to Serie A, but he accepts ‘there’s nothing right now’ due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I really enjoyed playing in Italy, but now I have a clear idea of what I want to do and it’s to keep playing at the highest level in Europe,” he told Radio Mitre Cordoba.
“There’s nothing with Lazio right now. The pandemic stopped everything, including the market. Everything’s stuck at ‘we’ll see’.”
However, he appeared to issue a come-and-get-me plea to Milan, despite them focusing on younger players.
“A team who have always interested me are Milan. I dreamed of playing for them growing up because I watched them on TV: they were one of the best teams in the league and they were my favourite team in Europe when I was a kid.
“I really liked Kaka. He was one of the best in his position.”
