The drama surrounding Adrien Rabiot’s possible handball in the build-up to Juventus’ winning goal against Inter is continuing to rage on and the talk between the referee and the VAR team could be made public.
The Frenchman controlled the ball with his chest, and possibly arm, in the build-up to Filip Kostic’s 23rd minute strike, a moment that immediately sparked tension in the Derby d’Italia.
The incident has become one of the main talking points following Juventus’ 1-0 win over Inter, dividing fans and onlookers alike.
As reported by Sport Mediaset, referee designator Gianluca Rocchi and his counterparts do not consider Daniele Chiffi and Paolo Mazzoleni’s decision to award Juventus the goal after the lengthy VAR check to be a serious error, but they were disappointed with the general officiating on display.
In order to calm the situation between the fans, Rocchi is considering releasing the audio of the conversation held between referee Chiffi and VAR lead Mazzoleni regarding the incident.
