That at least was the plan, but today’s game between Cittadella and Brescia saw the kick-off delayed by 29 minutes.

DAZN reporting at pitch-side explained there were technical problems in various areas.

Not only was the video feed not working for the VAR monitor, but the audio connection between referee, assistants and the VAR also broke down.

The Brescia players went back into the locker room earlier than Cittadella, who seemed increasingly frustrated at the lack of development.

At first it was meant to take five minutes to fix, then 10, but after 20 passed with no news, they too went back into the warm and dry.

It eventually kicked off 29 minutes late.
