Milan will reportedly not pay Chelsea a penny for the loan of Marco van Ginkel, as injuries have curtailed his season so severely.

The two clubs had agreed on a €1m loan this summer, with the price falling by half if the Dutchman played at least 20 games.

However, Tuttosport reports that due to two ankle injuries limiting Van Ginkel to five Serie A games so far, the Rossoneri will not pay anything for the loan.
