Van de Beek and Klaassen offered to Inter

Inter chief Beppe Marotta confirms they are seeking a midfielder, with reports options include Donny van de Beek, Davy Klaassen and Youssouf Fofana.

The CEO told Sky Sport Italia today that the club is trying to add the ‘cherry on the cake’ in the form of a midfielder with different characteristics to complete the squad in the final hours of the transfer window.

Targets mentioned were Maxime Lopez of Sassuolo, who would arrive in exchange for Kristjan Asllani, and Tanguy Ndombele on loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

However, Sky Sport Italia report there are other options too, including an approach made for Youssouf Fofana on loan with option to buy, but Monaco turned them down.

Calciomercato add that Manchester United proposed Van de Beek to Inter, having already tried to tempt Atalanta and Roma into making a bid.

They were also offered Klaassen by Ajax, but again they seem to prefer someone who already has Serie A experience, as Ndombele spent last season on loan at Napoli.
