Borja Valero insists tomorrow’s game with Lech Poznan no less important than the weekend clash with Roma.

“I don’t think there are any easy games in Europe,” Valero warned, sitting alongside Paulo Sousa in the pre-match Press conference.

“I don’t think there are any easy games in Europe,” Valero warned, sitting alongside Paulo Sousa in the pre-match Press conference.
“We have to be alert and focused to get the points. If a team is playing in the Europa League, it’s because they did well in the League last season.
“We know that the big game is tomorrow, that’s what we’re thinking and what the boss is letting us know. I didn’t even see Roma’s game yesterday.”
Fiorentina lost their last match in Serie A, going down 2-1 at Napoli, but Valero is taking the positives.
“We played our game, it was a shame we didn’t get anything out of it. We have to take the positives from San Paolo, to continue to do well in the League.
“We lost the game, but we still did things the way we know we can, we fought for every ball. Hopefully it won’t happen again, because we want to continue to do well.
“We know what the value of this team is. To receive compliments after a defeat makes us think positively.”
Finally, the Spanish midfielder was asked about comments this week where he suggested Paulo Sousa had “more character” than former Coach Vincenzo Montella.
“It was a bit of an error in translation,” Valero sighed.
“Because Fiorentina are doing well, people want to print stupid things. Montella didn’t shout and gesticulate a lot, Sousa does.
“It was a misplaced controversy.”
