Fiorentina’s Borja Valero has been handed a four-game ban for his red card received against Parma, whilst Vincenzo Montella is suspended for one round.
The Spaniard was dismissed in the closing minutes of La Viola’s 2-2 draw at the Ennio Tardini, for a clash with Gianni Munari, who was also dismissed.
But, where Munari has picked up a one-game suspension for his part in the scuffle, Valero has been punished further for ‘placing a hand on the match official when protesting, and pushing him’.
The League have handed the midfielder a total four-game ban for his action, whilst Coach Montella’s complaints to the officials have also earned him a single match ban from the touchline.
Meanwhile, Gennaro Sardo is handed a two-game ban for his sending off from the bench during Chievo’s win over Catania, whilst the following join Munari in receiving one-game bans: Diakite, Maxi Lopez, Munari, Toni, Albiol, Bergessio, Costa, Matuzalem, Domizzi, Ekdal, El Kaddouri, Higuain, Muntari, Palombo, Pizarro, Vidal.
