Reports in Spain suggest Valencia have confirmed their intention to buy Geoffrey Kondogbia outright from Inter.

Los Che took the French midfielder on loan in the summer, with Joao Cancelo going the other way.

Valencia can buy Kondogbia outright before May 31, and Cadena Ser is reporting that they have informed the Nerazzurri they intend to do so.

The deal will be worth €25m, payable over four years, with a significant sell-on fee in favour of the Beneamata.

However, Inter could remove that clause in an effort to sign Cancelo permanently, as they have Financial Fair Play targets to meet.

His buyout clause expires on the same day and is believed to be worth €35m, but the Nerazzurri can’t spend before June 30 if they want to meet their FFP commitments.

They could therefore agree with Valencia to pay in July, in return for removing Kondogbia’s sell-on clause.
