Valencia are the latest club interested in Antonio Sanabria, who can’t stop scoring for Sporting Gijon during his loan from Roma.

The striker only turned 20 earlier this month, but already has five senior caps for Paraguay.

‘Tonny’ Sanabria has scored 11 goals in 21 Liga games this season, including hat-tricks against Real Sociedad and Las Palmas.

He grew up in the Barcelona youth academy before being ‘parked’ at Sassuolo to acclimatise to Italy and spent a year on the Roma bench.

Despite his free-scoring performances, it’s reportedly unlikely Roma will want to bring him back to base after the loan with Sporting Gijon has expired.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Valencia are stepping up with a firm proposal to sign Sanabria.

He has also been linked with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, but would get more guaranteed playing time at the Mestalla.
