With Andrea Belotti not fully fit after COVID, Antonio Sanabria and Simone Verdi are the new starting front two.
“Andrea had basically one training session with the team. He is eager to take part, so we’ll see if there’s room for him in the game.
“Sanabria scored a wonderful goal against Crotone, unfortunately it was not enough for the result. Simone does marvellous things in training and he needs to start showing some of that during a match situation too, because he has the quality to do it.”
Toro have two games still to be played against Sassuolo and Lazio, as they were postponed due to the COVID outbreak that hit at least 10 figures in the group.
“I don’t want to sit here and recriminate over situations that we cannot control. We were unable to train, this is a fact, we cannot use it as an alibi now and must keep going.
“Any Serie A player, especially at Torino, needs to be focused, responsible, clear-headed and try to give their best not just on a Sunday, but in every training session. They are professionals, they have the quality to pull us out of this situation and we hope they will.”
