The Granata signed the likes of Amer Gojak and Federico Bonazzoli in the final day of transfer negotiations.

“We are happy for the signing of Gojak, he has a big potential and he can play in midfield or behind the strikers. The coach will play him in the best position.

“We had been talking with Bonazzoli’s entourage for long time. I signed him when I was at Spal. I know he has important technical qualities and physical strength. He can do well.”

Vagnati did also reveal why the club failed to secure the services of Sampdoria’s Gaston Ramirez who was a primary target for Marco Giampaolo: “We spoke with Sampdoria but we didn’t reach an agreement on the player’s contract. There are hierarchies in the group that we must respect.”
