Tuttosport calls Weston McKennie ‘the king of assists’ at Juventus as the USMNT midfielder delivered two key passes for Dusan Vlahovic before sustaining a shoulder injury in a 3-2 win over Frosinone on Sunday.

McKennie suffered a dislocated left shoulder during Juventus’ 3-2 victory over Frosinone at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday but contributed to the Bianconeri’s first win in five games with two assists for Vlahovic in the first half.

The ex-Schalke 04 midfielder was praised by Italian sports papers on Monday, receiving the highest grades among the Bianconeri after Vlahovic, who became the most prolific goal scorer in Europe’s five leagues in 2024.

McKennie was rated 7/10 by Gazzetta, Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport.

The Turin-based paper called the American midfielder the ‘king of assists’ as McKennie has already delivered five decisive passes this season.

Overall, McKennie has provided seven assists in 26 appearances across all competitions but has yet to score a goal in 2023-24.

His contract at the Allianz Stadium runs out in June 2025.
