United States coach Gregg Berhalter watched Juventus’ recent win over Milan and decided to visit Continassa to meet Massimiliano Allegri and follow their training session.
Serie A has started to take on an increasing American flavour in recent seasons and the clash between the Rossoneri and the Bianconeri saw four on the pitch – Weston McKennie, Timothy Weah, Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah.
Berhalter was in the stands of the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on the weekend, keeping a close eye on Juventus’ tense 1-0 win over Milan, and he hasn’t left Italy just yet.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport via TMW, Berhalter paid a visit to Continassa on Tuesday where he met Allegri and watched Juventus’ training session from the sidelines, keeping a close eye on the two Americans in the squad.
Serie A clubs are increasingly trying to increase their market opportunities in the United States, aware that the 2026 World Cup has helped further raise interest in the sport.
