Gianluca Zambrotta has revealed that he has two possible foreign destinations once his Milan contract expires next month.
The defender will leave San Siro given that the Rossoneri have not offered the World Cup winner a new deal.
“I still feel like a footballer and I want to try an experience abroad,” the 35-year-old told the Corriere dello Sport. “Where? Dubai or the United States.”
The former Bari, Juventus and Barcelona player has enjoyed a trophy-filled career, but he has one regret.
“I didn’t manage to win the Champions League,” he added.
Zambrotta is just one of numerous high profile Milan departures this summer, a year after the club let Andrea Pirlo join Juventus.
“Milan need to find a new Pirlo,” the veteran continued. “His sale was a big mistake. I’d advise the Rossoneri to buy Marco Verratti of Pescara.
“He is an element that is growing and maturing. He could get very close to Andrea.”
Verratti, a surprise inclusion in Cesare Prandelli’s 32-man Euro 2012 long-list, is wanted by new Italian champions Juventus.
