Friday’s friendly between Italy and San Marino will have 500 fans present in Cagliari, as long as they can prove their COVID vaccination.

The law still bars supporters from open air events in Italy until June 1, although there are some given special dispensation, such as the Coppa Italia Final.

The Government signed the decree this evening allowing for up to 500 people to enter the Sardegna Arena for tomorrow’s friendly game.

They will have to maintain social distancing, wear masks and be able to prove either they have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or are immune after recently recovering from the virus.

The Women’s Coppa Italia Final between Milan and Roma will have the same criteria for up to 20 per cent capacity at the Mapei Stadium in Reggio Emilia on Sunday.
