Khvicha Kvaratskhelia won further praise from the Italian press after his strong performance in Napoli’s 3-2 win over Bologna.
Luciano Spalletti’s side worked hard to secure all three points against the Rossoblu yesterday and the Georgian winger played a key role in that, providing the assist for Victor Osimhen’s winning goal in the 69th minute. Napoli still sit top of the table and their momentum hasn’t started to slow yet after their electric start.
La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted the danger Kvaratskhelia poses to his opponents, noting how “he continues to be disconcerting when he runs with the ball at his feet, opponents cannot stop him.” They also drew attention to his goal contributions across Serie A and the Champions League, seven goals and eight assists in 14 games.
Corriere dello Sport also commented on the Georgian winger’s unpredictability with the ball and suggested that “even when he is tired, he’s out of control.” They also praised his assist to Osimhen.
Tuttosport felt that Kvaratskhelia was a step ahead of his teammates and underlined his importance to Spalletti’s Napoli squad, saying “still the best on the pitch, superior to the others in everything: dribbling, game vision, assists. Like those provided to Raspadori and Politano. You can’t be without him anymore.”
