Manchester United will target Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as Paul Pogba’s replacement should the Frenchman leave, according to reports.

Former Juventus midfielder Pogba has enjoyed a fine World Cup this summer and is in line to start this afternoon’s final against Croatia.

However, reports in English media this morning suggest the 25-year-old wants to leave Old Trafford.

It is thought Pogba’s preferred destination would be Barcelona, with his agent Mino Raiola rumoured to have already offered him to the Catalan giants.

And should Pogba depart, La Repubblica reports United’s number one target to replace him would be Milinkovic-Savic.

The Serbian midfielder has been linked with leading clubs around Europe all summer, although Lazio President Claudio Lotito’s asking price is upwards of €150m.

Nevertheless, the Red Devils should be able to meet it – particularly if they are armed with the astronomical fee they would surely receive for Pogba.
