Union Berlin are continuing to negotiate with outbound Juventus veteran Leonardo Bonucci but talks are not proving simple, Gianluca Di Marzio highlights.

The 36-year-old has been cut from Massimiliano Allegri’s squad and did not join the squad for their pre-season tour to the United States, staying behind in Turin to training individually.

With only a week left in the summer transfer window, Bonucci still hasn’t found a new home and Juventus are keen to cut his high wages from their books before the market comes to a close.

As reported by Di Marzio, Union Berlin have been negotiating with Bonucci for a little while now, but talks have started to slow in recent days, complicating matters.

The two parties will keep in contact throughout the coming hours in an attempt to reach an agreement and the Bundesliga club aren’t planning to give up just yet.

Last season, Bonucci saw 1517 minutes of action across 26 total appearances, scoring two goals.
