Cengiz Under returns to Roma this summer and admits ‘one of my biggest dreams since I was a child’ was to work with the new Giallorossi coach Jose Mourinho.

Under is currently preparing for Euro 2020 with Turkey and will return to La Lupa after the competition, as his loan deal with Leicester expired this summer.

The 23-year-old arrived from Basaksehir in July 2017 but has struggled to convince at the Olimpico and his future in the Italian capital is uncertain.

“One of my biggest dreams since I was a child was to work with Jose Mourinho,” he said, according to Il Corriere dello Sport. “If you ask any Turkish player, everyone would like to work with him, me too.”

Under is currently preparing for Euro 2020 and scored in a 2-0 win over Moldova on June 3, something he felt was ‘important for my morale’ ahead of the competition.

“I hope the European Championship will be good for all of us,” he said. “Right now, I’m focused on the European Championship, we’ll talk about [my future] later.

“I don’t know what will happen. My current goal will be Euro 2020, not my transfer. I feel I’m 100 per cent ready. I played friendlies and scored a goal. It was very important for my morale.”
