Cengiz Under has landed in Marseille to sign for Olympique, in a double deal with Roma goalkeeper Pau Lopez, but they’re also in talks for Cagliari striker Giovanni Simeone.

Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia had confirmed last night that the final details had been worked out between the clubs.

Now RMC Sport also have the same story, that Pau Lopez moves on loan with option to buy for €15m – which should become an obligation after 20 appearances – and Cengiz Under is on loan with option worth €8m and Roma retain 20 per cent of any future sale.

Turkey international winger Under is getting ahead of himself, as the medicals aren’t expected until next week, but images were posted of him already flying to and landing in Marseille today.

His agents Mirsad Turkcan and Utku Cenikli posted the pictures from inside the private jet and at the airport on Instagram Stories.

However, Marseille aren’t done shopping in Italy, because La Provence report that they are also in talks with Cagliari for Simeone.

The 25-year-old Argentine is the son of Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone, but his spells at Genoa, Fiorentina and Cagliari never quite delivered on his initial promise.

OM had originally been close to Kevin Gameiro, who is a free agent after his time at Valencia, but he pulled out after Marseille fans sent insulting messages to his wife on social media, seemingly because he represented their rivals PSG from 2011-13.
