UEFA President Aleksandar Ceferin has confirmed that there will be no VAR in the Champions League next season. “I still see so much confusion.”
VAR has been primarily implemented in Serie A and the Bundesliga this season, but the technology’s lack of consistency means it will remain out of the Champions League for at least another year.
“We won’t adopt video assistant referees in the Champions League next season. I still see so much confusion,” the Slovenian said at UEFA’s Ordinary Congress on Monday.
