According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, UEFA have received new documents regarding the Juventus investigation carried out by the Turin Prosecutor.

The European football governing body officially opened an investigation into Juventus’ finances on December 1, 2022.

UEFA are scrutinising the latest balance sheets of the Bianconeri, which allowed the club to close a ‘settlement agreement’ on August 23 last year.

Gazzetta reports that UEFA have been in touch with the Turin Prosecutor for several months and have now received new documents regarding the supplementary investigations carried out before the preliminary hearing on March 27.

The Turin Prosecutor has recommended for trial 12 people, including former club President Andrea Agnelli, ex-vice president Pavel Nedved and former CEO Maurizio Arrivabene.

It’s worth highlighting that the investigation from the Turin Prosecutor is not directly connected to the 15-point penalty imposed on Juventus in January, which was ruled by the FIGC Courts of Appeal.

The Turin Prosecutor is investigating Juventus’ alleged artificially inflated transfer values as well as their salary manoeuvre. A second investigation regarding Juventus’ salaries is also being conducted by the FIGC and could lead to another penalty for the Old Lady while UEFA will consider sanctions if Juventus’ balance sheets have been altered.
