UEFA Nations League | Italy vs. Spain referees

Russian referee Sergey Karasev will oversee the clash between Italy and Spain in the UEFA Nations League on Wednesday.

Italy host Spain at San Siro in the semi-finals of the European competition, three months after the clash between the two at the Euros this summer.

The Azzurri won the last meeting on penalties and advanced to the Final at Wembley, where they overcame England on penalties to lift the trophy.

Italy have since set a new all-time world record of games unbeaten, leaving behind their opponents in the next game.

The Russian 42-year-old Karasev will be in charge at San Siro, with compatriots Igor Demeshko and Maksim Gavrilin as his assistants.

Dutch referee Pol van Boekel will be in the VAR room, with German referee Christian Dingert as his assistant.
