Join us for all the build-up and action as it happens from the UEFA Europa Conference League Final, as Fiorentina try to make up for last season’s defeat by facing Olympiacos.

It kicks off at the AEK Arena in Athens at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).

The winner will be decided on the night after 90 minutes, extra time or even penalties.

The Viola are unbeaten in 13 European games, but lost last year’s final to West Ham United.

Olympiacos dropped down from the Europa League in February and eliminated Aston Villa in the semi-final with five Ayoub El Kaabi goals over two legs.

That’s all for the Liveblog.

Fiorentina will play Atalanta in Serie A on June 2, although it is at this point pretty much irrelevant.

Well, that’s something.

The Stadio Artemio Franchi hosted 30,000 fans tonight to watch the game.

Most have now left. A few are dismantling the seats to take them home as souvenirs, because the Curva Fiesole is getting knocked down over the summer, so it’s really doing the club a favour.

Captain Fortounis steps up and lifts the Conference League trophy, the first European piece of silverware in the history of Olympiacos – and indeed of Greek club football.

Fiorentina players did not return the guard of honour, but did go over to shake hands with all the referees.

Olympiacos step up for their medals.

Fiorentina players all walk past the trophy, not even looking at it.

Biraghi now leads Fiorentina through the guard of honour to receive their silver medals. Got a collection now.

The referees receive their medals first.

Italiano, other members of staff are urging Biraghi to leave and he refuses.

He’s going to have to now, they have the medal ceremony.

Olympiacos form a guard of honour for them.

Biraghi and Milenkovic remain standing there watching the Fiorentina fans, who are leaving the stadium. It is 1am in Athens.

This is not a unique achievement, as Benfica had also lost two consecutive Europa League Finals in 2013 and 2014.

Fiorentina players understandably distraught. Olympiacos could not have asked for better than to win in their home city.

Jose Luis Mendilibar beat Roma last season when he was in charge of Sevilla in the Europa League Final. He’s really a curse for Italian teams.

We’ve seen it so many times. Fiorentina just don’t finish their chances, don’t turn possession and pressure into goals.
