Destiny Udogie’s agent met Inter on Tuesday, but the Nerazzurri are close to signing Raoul Bellanova, so Tottenham, West Ham and Juventus remain in the race for the Udinese starlet.

The Italy international is one of the hottest commodities in Serie A following an impressive season at the Dacia Arena, where he scored five goals and delivered three assists in 35 league appearances.

His agent Stefano Antonelli spoke to Inter directors yesterday and described the meeting as an ‘an initial, pleasant chat.’ He added that the two parties ‘will meet again to update the situation.’

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, Inter seem to be leaning towards the signing of Cagliari starlet Raoul Bellanova having already met his agent earlier this week.

The product of Milan academy plays on the right and the Nerazzurri can sign him for €8m plus €2m add-ons. If they complete the deal, Matteo Darmian will be mainly deployed on the left next season, with the 22-year-old battling for a starting spot with Denzel Dumfries.

Udinese turn down offers for Udogie from Juventus and Tottenham

Tottenham, Juventus and West Ham United are closely monitoring the situation and remain in the race for Udogie, knowing that Udinese want at least €20m to let the player leave.

Spurs are monitoring more and more Serie A players after signing Cristian Romero, Dejan Kulusevski, Rodrigo Bentancur and Ivan Perisic over the last year.
