Udinese are reportedly looking at the possibilities of bringing former Milan coach Marco Giampaolo to the Dacia Arena next summer.

Calciomercato.com reports that Giampaolo is one of the targets in Udine, which could also mean that Luca Gotti might stay on at the helm of the Friuli club, after being appointed as an interim coach when Igor Tudor was sacked earlier this month.

Technical Director Pierpaolo Marino is reported to be looking at Giampaolo’s situation and appears to interested in the former Sampdoria coach, but it may all depend on the 52-year-old’s own ideas.

After a short stint at Milan this autumn, where he was sacked after only three months in charge, Giampaolo is still tied to a lucrative contract with the Rossoneri until June 2021.

This may cause some headache for Udinese, who currently are 13th in Serie A, four points above relegation after 13 games.

Even if the contract were to be terminated by mutual consent, a coach cannot work for two different clubs in the same Serie A season.
