Udinese have agreed a deal to pick up Italy Under-21 international striker Lorenzo Lucca on loan with option to buy from Pisa after his Ajax spell.

The 22-year-old had been at the centre of a bidding war last summer and made the move to Ajax, on loan for €1m with an option to buy for a further €10m.

He contributed eight goals and four assists in 30 competitive matches, but six of those goals and three assists were in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, the second division in the Netherlands for the B-Team.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Udinese have agreed terms with Pisa to take Lucca on loan with an option to buy for €8m plus performance-related bonuses.

A product of the Torino youth academy, Lucca flourished at Palermo and then Pisa.

The centre-forward is extremely tall, standing at 2.01 metres, nearly 6ft 8in, which inevitably makes him very strong in the air.
