Udinese have announced a new name for their stadium, which changes from the Dacia Arena to the Bluenergy Stadium as part of a new partnership deal.

This is one of the very few stadiums in Italy owned and run by the club, who took on a 99-year lease from the local council in 2013.

It was previously called the Stadio Friuli and used in the 1990 World Cup as one of the venues.

From 2016 to 2023, it was called the Dacia Arena, but that sponsorship contract ran out in June 2023.

As of today, it will be known as the Bluenergy Stadium and the deal is believed to be worth circa €1m per season for five years.

The club had already been in a partnership with the Bluenergy group, installing various elements to make the stadium ecologically sustainable.

Udinese have been named the most sustainable club in Italy and the fourth best in the world.
