Udinese lost their pre-season friendly against Austrian side Sturm Graz 3-2, with Ignacio Pussetto and Fernando Forestieri on target on Marco Silvestri’s debut.
Goalkeeper Silvestri received his debut after the transfer from Hellas Verona and within nine minutes had to fish the ball out of his net, as Kiteishvili was not closed down effectively.
Sturm Graz have already started their competitive matches this season, so were evidently in better shape, considering Serie A doesn’t kick off until August 21.
Sebastien De Maio’s horrible back-pass gifted Yeboah the goal for 2-0, but Udinese fought back with Pussetto’s curler from the edge of the box and Forestieri turning in the Makengo assist.
A penalty proved decisive following a handling offence on a corner.
