Udinese director of sport Pasquale Marino has confirmed that the club will continue with caretaker coach Luca Gotti for the time being.
Gotti has been in charge of the Zebrette for the last two games, winning one and drawing the other, and Marino has now told Udinese TV that the club was sticking with him indefinitely.
"In two games, we had conceded 11 goals and scored one," he explained.

"We asked him [Gotti] to help us in an emergency, and he gave us his availability.
"Right now he's not working well, but very well. We'll review the situation again soon, but right now we're convinced that we have made the right choice. Gotti will be in the dugout against Sampdoria in Genoa.
"Gotti is a person we respect and he'll remain at Udinese for a long time. He has earned the respect of everyone here."
Walter Zenga, Massimo Carrera and Davide Ballardini were thought to be among those considered for the job, but Marino refused to be drawn into the speculation.
"We've examined various profiles. For now, we want to make it clear that the situation we've created with Gotti shouldn't be disturbed.
"It's a well thought-out decision from the club, and he has the support of everyone here."
It remains to be seen just how long the ex-Chelsea man will stay at the helm, given he previously made it clear he did not want the job full-time.
