Udinese are ready to start pre-season training, but their fans put up a banner urging the Pozzo family to sell up, as ‘since Watford it’s been seven years of failure.’

The ultras have often accused the Pozzo family of putting more time and money into their Watford FC project than Udinese, although that could well change following the relegation from the Premier League.

The Friulani narrowly avoided the drop again this season and a printed banner was placed outside the Dacia Arena this morning.

The ultras have often accused the Pozzo family of putting more time and money into their Watford FC project than Udinese, although that could well change following the relegation from the Premier League.

The Friulani narrowly avoided the drop again this season and a printed banner was placed outside the Dacia Arena this morning.

“Without money, a project, or passion, this club is worthy of relegation,” it read.

“Now spend or sell Udinese. P.S. Since Watford it’s been seven years of failure.”

The Pozzo family used to own three clubs, with Spanish side Granada included, which would regularly exchange players between themselves.

Udinese fans have felt increasingly neglected by these other projects.
