Udinese have announced that they’ll file a lawsuit against the person responsible for defacing Jaka Bijol’s car after it was illegally parked.
The 23-year-old Slovenian defender joined the Bianconeri in the summer from CSKA Moscow in a deal worth around €4m, signing a five-year contract with the club. Bijol has impressed in his first 11 Serie A games for Udinese, scoring two goals and looking defensively solid.
As announced by Udinese, the club are looking to file a lawsuit against the person responsible for defacing Bijol’s car in the Udine city centre. The 23-year-old had parked his Porsche on a pedestrian crossing and a member of the public was clearly unimpressed by this, writing on the side of the car in lipstick: “No park here.”
A few moments later, the local authorities arrived and fined Bijol just under €100.
The person responsible for the act, if found guilty, faces one to six months’ imprisonment and a fine of between €300 to €1000.
Unfair
So writing with lipstick on an illegally and dangerously parked vehicle carries a possible custodial sentence but parking illegally and dangerously is a small fine. It should be the other way around.
Wow, I mean wow. Is this the norm in Italy? Punish somehow the ‘honest one’, the weak.
